1st Round
All competitors must perform a program of a maximum duration of 20 minutes including:
No. 1 Etude by F. Chopin from op. 10 or op. 25
Sonata K 380 in E major (with or without ritornelli) by D.Scarlatti
No. 1 Prelude by C. Debussy from Book I or II
One or more pieces of free choice
2nd Round
All admitted contestants (a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 15) must perform a program lasting between a minimum of 40 minutes and a maximum of 50 minutes including:
No. 1 Sonata by L.v. Beethoven from the 32 free-choice sonatas
No. 1 piece composed after the year 1900
One or more pieces of free choice
*Giuseppe Molinari’s prelude op.2 “Mnemes”
Songs already performed in previous rehearsals cannot be repeated
*Competitors intending to compete for the “Giuseppe Molinari” out-of-competition scholarship may perform in the second round the prelude op.2 “Mnemes” downloadable from this website
Second Phase

The 6 admitted contestants will have to take two practice sessions.
All eligible competitors must perform a free-choice program lasting between a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 60 minutes.
