The 26th Friuli Venezia Giulia International Piano Competition is announced and will be held in Sacile (Italy) from 6 to 10 May 2025 – PHASE I and from 6 to 9 May 2026 – PHASE II.
Pianists of any nationality born after May 1, 1994 may enter the Competition.

Competition Procedure
ART 4
The Friuli Venezia Giulia International Piano Competition is biennial. For the structure of the tests, the compulsory pieces, the prizes and the selection of the candidates, please refer to the Competition Announcement published by the Organizing Body and available upon request to the Secretariat or downloadable here:
ART 5 – A
The start of the tests is set for PHASE I – Tuesday 6 May 2025 at 10.00 am, PHASE II – Thursday 7 May 2026 at 10.30 am. The tests are divided into two sessions: morning and afternoon.
Each candidate will be notified of the day and start time of the session to which he/she has been summoned, based on the order of execution previously established by alphabetical drawing.
ART 5 – B
It is possible to modify/change the chosen pieces only once by sending the program change form (downloadable from this website) duly completed and signed to the Secretariat of the Friuli Venezia Giulia International Piano Competition at the following two email addresses no later than April 8, 2025:
ART 6
All the tests will be broadcasted live in HD and published on the Association’s YouTube channel and on this website.
The Competitors waive any right to make any claim or request against the Organizing Body and/or the Institutions sponsoring the Competition for the audio or video recordings made on behalf of the Organizing Body during the rehearsals and concerts of the winning pianists of the rehearsals.
ART 7
The tests will be public. Candidates must play from memory and make available to the Jury, before each performance, the scores of their musical program, in the edition they used.
All pieces performed must be published, with the exception of the piece composed after 1900.
ART 8 – A
It will be possible to try the Competition piano (Fazioli grancoda F278) the day before the start of the tests, at specific times and by booking at the secretariat at the following two email addresses:
ART 8 – B
For obvious technical-organizational reasons, the possibility of trying out the piano during the Competition cannot be guaranteed.
An adequate number of study pianos will be available to the Competitors for the entire duration of the Piano Competition.
Jury
ART 9
The members of the Jury who have ongoing or have had ongoing teaching relationships of any kind (public or private) in the two years preceding the Competition or who have kinship or affinity relationships with one or more Competitors, must abstain from participating in the discussion and voting of the examination of the aforementioned Competitors.
Upon taking office, each member of the Jury must make a statement regarding their personal situation with respect to the Competitors.
Awards
ART 10
Prizes, with the exception of those mentioned in Article 11, will be paid by bank transfer no later than 90 days after the win.
ART 11
The “CONCERT TOUR” special prize, the “CD RECORDING – FAZIOLI CONCERT HALL” special prize and the “KNS CLASSICAL” special prize are subject to the signing of a contract by 15 October 2026, under penalty of cancellation of the prize.
The first prize cannot be awarded ex aequo.
ART 12
The prizes are not subject to withholding tax pursuant to Article 30 of Presidential Decree no. 600 of 29/09/73, as specified by Ministerial Resolution no. 8/1251 of 28/10/1976.
ART 13
Prize winners should use the title related to the Prize in their C.V.’s.
ART 14
